Is the beach beckoning you, but you abhor crowded hotels? Perhaps you need an escape from the rat race - where you can walk the beach as the sun rises. Does Thoreau's cabin sound like peace on earth? Then the little Tin House by the Sea might be the destination of your heart's desire. This quaint cabin is located just blocks from the beach on the arterial to the South Jetty...but never fear, it is tucked way back from the street in an artist's mecca with a large yard and patio shared with the owners of a wonderful Port Aransas gallery and artist's studio.
You will have all the creature comforts (that Thoreau of course could never imagine) but no cookie cutter chain hotel for you...just cool ocean breezes and wave sounds to lull you to sleep. The little Tin House is just suited for an individual or couple, appointed with one comfortable queen bed, TV, a small dinette, window a/c, storage for your spare clothing, and a small studio kitchen with under the counter frig, microwave and sink. The bathroom has a European design with the shower and toilet very compactly situated off the kitchen area.
